Not for any particular reason, but up until the last few years, Spotted Lanternflies weren't really an issue... They certainly can be now, and in this month's Blog we're going to discuss how they can effect your plant life and possibly even your lawn.

Here we go...

The Spotted Lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula) has become a significant concern for homeowners and gardeners in Bucks County, PA. This invasive pest, originally from Asia, has been wreaking havoc on local plant life, posing threats not just to agricultural crops but also to residential lawns and gardens. Understanding the effects of Lanternflies on your landscape can help you take appropriate measures to protect your plants and maintain a healthy, thriving garden.

Identification and Lifecycle

The Spotted Lanternfly is easily recognizable by its distinctive appearance:

Adults: 1 inch long, with grey wings adorned with black spots and a striking red underwing.

It's that time of the year! We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and hopefully the Turkey was great!
We always do our best each month to bring you different topics, not just about our industry, but other fun subjects, but this month year over year, we always do our best to discuss the year end review, but with a strong thank you and gratitude for our readers, customers and supporters.

It's definitely been another great year for the most part, and we would even go as far to say it was a very strong year. Mother Nature played very nice and we really didn't have much rain, at least not in the Bucks County area, so that means more installations! We are extremely fortunate to have the customer base we do, which means they refer us many other new customers and accounts throughout the year, and this year was no exception. We are grateful for the trust they instill in us, and we like to believe it's b/c we always deliver on exactly what we say we're going to do when setting expectations. We are a family owned and operated business, and we've been doing this for almost 43 years come 2024. Not many small, local companies can stake that claim, and we're very proud to be a part of the local Community and fabric of Bucks County and surrounding areas since 1981.

Even though this is considered our "slow time of the season", we are still very active with estimates, believe it or not, and of course, wrapping up Winterization Service before it's even too cold for that. But we also take this time to allow our amazing team to rest up, spend time with their families, and truly enjoy the Holiday Season. What are you plans for the Holidays? This is the Start of the Season!

The Spring Startup Season has officially begun, and we couldn't be more excited! We try not to look to far ahead into the Weather Forecast, but we couldn't help ourselves, especially coming off of a very mild Winter.

In our neck of the woods, (Lower Bucks County, Pa) we literally didn't have any snow this winter and for the most part, the temperatures were more than manageable. Which hopefully means Spring Startup & maintenance should go extremely well for our customers! As we publish this Blog post today, the weather is absolutely beautiful and the outlook for the week and month is definitely "Irrigation Friendly"! :)

We'll see what Mother Nature brings as the month goes on, but hopefully April flowers brings even more May flowers and more sun and no rain!
